White bodiced petticoat? Check!

I literally just finished a new Regency bodiced petticoat!

(It's actually got a perfectly even hem; not sure why it photographed like that! I guess I was just so excited to snap a pic and post about it that I didn't notice while taking the pic. . . And, I haven't washed the blue markings off either!)

Also, it's important to note that the bodiced petticoat went under a thorough inspection by Taffy:

    1. Thanks! I'm so excited to hopefully get to wear this on Sunday. I'm trying my hardest to finish my dress, but we'll see. . . I'm suffering some back pain drama right now that is making it impossible to do fittings. Here's to hoping my patterning and fittings of mock-ups were spot on, LOL!

  2. I think almost all my sewing projects have been thoroughly cat inspected and cat approved! lol!

    1. No sewing project is truly complete until it has a thorough dose of cat hair, in my opinion. ;)

  3. Looks good. I made myself a waist petticoat recently. Added some tucks at the hem. i find it stops the skirts getting tangled.

    1. Thank you! Tucks will help with that, as would adding a few rows of cording. I'll be making yet another bodiced petticoat in the winter that will have quite a bit of cording, to work with later 1820s styles. (I have a BIT of an underpinning-making obsession, LOL!) ;)

    2. I forgot to ask did you bone your bodiced petticoat?

    3. No boning in this one; I wear it over boned stays so it isn't necessary. :)
